Fostering & Adopting
Fostering and adopting a pet both offer loving homes to animals in need but serve different purposes. Fostering is a temporary commitment where you provide a safe, nurturing environment for an animal until they find a permanent home. It’s ideal for those who love animals but can't commit long-term, or who want to help socialise and rehabilitate pets for adoption.
Adoption, on the other hand, is a lifelong commitment. When you adopt, you welcome a pet into your home permanently, becoming responsible for their health, happiness, and well-being. While fostering helps rescues by alleviating space and care demands, adopting provides a forever home and lifelong companionship. Both roles are crucial in saving lives and improving the well-being of animals.
Fostering
Due to the large amount of kittens being born each year, we are always in need of temporary foster homes for kittens where they can be part of a loving, caring household while they await a permanent forever home.

We also look for foster homes for dogs based on which dog we feel would be most suited to your home and lifestyle, and we evaluate applications based on the needs of the foster dog.
Adopt A Cat
These are just some of the beautiful cats & kittens we have available for adoption at OSPCA. All our kittens are well socialised in foster homes and patiently awaiting their forever homes. They are all treated for worms & fleas and litter trained. OSPCA will cover the cost of neutering when the kittens are old enough. We ask for a minimum donation of €60 when adopting one of our kittens or €100 when adopting two kittens. If you would like to give one or even two cats the perfect home they deserve, please call 086 0222432 or submit your interest below.
Adopt A Dog
